Holiday!

Hi!

We're back!

Before I go on I'm just going to take this opportunity to say I wont be blogging daily from this point on. There's not been a great deal to say of late, and I feel like I'm blogging for the sake of it. A great man once said "never feel like you HAVE to blog", so I'm just going to do one a week, or one a fortnight, or one a month. Or, as and when shit goes down that I feel people might like to know about. To wit, we got back from a week in Tunisia yesterday morning, and here's some stuff that we did.

We left the house on a Wednesday afternoon and arrived in Tunisia some hours later, in the middle of the night. We got to sleep in our hotel at about 4am.

Here's Penny in the airport in her jim jams :

She's learned loads of new words while I've not been posting. If you asked her in the week leading up to departure "where are you going Penny?" she would reply "HOLIDAYS!" even if she was going to bed, or (the) ASDA. She'd wake up in the hotel declaring it was "party time!" and she wanted to "dance" with the "kids". "Aiport" and "aeroplane" were common, too. And "Pringles!" which is almost exclusively what she ate. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't Pringles.

We had a great time, and got up to the following :

  • Swimming.
  • Walking over a small bridge, over and over.
  • Dancing.
  • Drinking.
  • Sleeping.
And above all things:
  • Relaxing.
We truly did relax, and we met some lovely people, too. Penny was, by and large, well behaved, sleeping when appropriate and doing more or less what we told her to as and when we told her to do it.

The flights were good enough. After take off she slept, leaving me and Melissa to try and doze, too (impossible) and the epic three hour transfer on the way home was the only real down point.

Some photos :

There'll be more photos on Facebook if and when I can be bothered posting, labelling and tagging the bastard things.

Melissa and I are both back to work on Monday, so this weekend we shall be continuing along the relaxation theme, except for the hoovering I'll be doing in a minute, and the spot of DIY I've accomplished too.

Thanks to you all for reading daily for over 2 years. I'll continue to post as and when I see fit.
