6am wakeup call. To make life easier I brought her in bed with us and she snuggled back down. Melissa was oblivious to this and was very confused when she woke at 7:15am and asked "Where did you come from?" To Penny, not me.
Anyway, I braved the elements and walked to work where I phoned the council about the trees round the back being too tall and dangerous to children (really, it's interfering with the Sky signal), and that was about it really. I mean, of course I worked hard and stuff. But aside from phoning the council and working hard, that was it.
The car was taken to MOT'd by Melissa and it failed on the CV steering joint boot. This is basically a rubber sock that protects the ball joint on the steering rack from the elements. They weigh in about £55. A little rubber sock. Still, could have been worse I suppose.
Melissa and Penny picked me up from work (mercifully they'd been to (the) ASDA without me) and we came home and had tea. Penny spilled some her juice, leading me to exclaim "Oh bugger!" which lead Penny to exclaim "Oh bugger" too. We laughed, she did it again. We didn't chastise her though; we're not hypocrites. It's when she starts telling teachers to "fuck off" that we start chastising her. Until then it's just plain adorable.
Penny, who's not slept all day, didn't particularly seem knackered, but she had her bath, and within minutes of me drying her she was falling asleep in my arms. She's currently fast asleep in bed leaving me some dishes and some hoovering today before I relax.
Back tomorrow!
