Didn't sleep too well, but I slept nonetheless.
Penny was still asleep when I went to work, though I think I heard her stirring as I was leaving. I walked to work. It was sticky, warm and unpleasant. Work was a little slow. I attended a few none-event meetings, and drank tea, mainly.
I walked home in the warmer, stickier afternoon and found the house empty. I got changed and then waited for my women to arrive home. I didn't have to wait long and went outside to greet them. Penny's obsessed with the little girl next door, Leonie, or, Onie as she calls her. 80% of her dialogue this evening has involved her. I say dialogue, it's more like an incoherent stream of noises punctuated with the occasional recognisable syllable.
Anyway, we had tea and Melissa went work then Penny, who was shattered had a bath and we went downstairs to watch Abney and Teal. It was the one in which Bop has babies. The babies leave at the end of the episode and Bop gets teary. Penny got emotional too, and I had to explain to her what had happened. Adorable.
Once that was done, and I'd had enough of In The Night Garden I took her to bed and she eventually nodded off. It's getting harder to get her to sleep of an evening, regardless of whether she's tired or not. Fun.
Just some minor chores this evening followed by some TV or a film or some XBox or... Well, I just don't know.
Back tomorrow.
