Day 837 and 838

Friday was, for the most part, decent. Penny slept well and I had a great day in general. I bought a new pair of trainers that I'd been looking for somewhat obsessively for almost a month; my breakfast bagel was toasted to perfection; I finished work early; I spent most of the day eating buffet food as one of the girls left on maternity leave.

After, Melissa and Penny collected me and we went to see Melissa's mum and dad. I opted to do a small bbq despite the threat of rain. Of course, the small bbq got a little out of hand and I ended up cooking tons of stuff.

Still, we ate well and Penny had a bath with her cousin, then we came home and Penny went to bed.

Melissa and I continued our quest to catch up with the rest of the western world and watched an episode of the first series of Game of Thrones. Oh, yeah, we watched the first half of the bell ends enter the Big Brother house on Thursday night. Sorry, that wasn't mentioned. We didn't know it  was on.

I ended up getting in to bed last night to watch the rest of the bell ends enter the house, and then we watched Hannibal and went to sleep.

Penny woke up at 7am. You can set your watch by her.

We lay in bed for a bit watching Peppa Pig and Wonder Pets, then I got up, made breakfast and popped to (the) ASDA for eggs (I used the rest of them and Melissa had ear marked them for her breakfast).

Once breakfast was out the way Melissa tried to get Penny to go down for a nap. Absolutely no chance. We all got ready and headed over to see my mum and dad and aunty Anne and uncle Dennis. Penny was on form, despite the fact she must have been knackered. We had a nice time. I ate loads of cake and Penny got presents. Result.

We drove home, then, and Penny was asleep within 5 minutes.

We got home, woke Penny up and she demanded a lolly pop so I walked to the shop with her then we came home and I cooked the three of us tea.

Penny's currently wandering about making unreasonable demands. She will shortly be bathed and put to bed.

Then? Who knows. Melissa's got ironing today and I've got reality TV to avoid.

See you tomorrow!
