6:20am start this morning. Fortunately I went to bed last night at 10:15pm so was well rested.
I walked to work, every step fearing a downpour, but I escaped and remained dry until lunchtime, when, walking to The Concourse I was soaked.
Work passed without any real incident and at 4pm Melissa thankfully picked me up (it was still raining), and we stopped at the chippy for tea. Not bad chips, alright sausages, rubbish gravy. 6/10.
We ate that, Penny wanted more, so we did her some chicken and a garlic ciabatta. She also had a yoghurt. Melissa went to work and Penny sat on my knee reading Goodnight Spot at least twice before I decided she needed a bath.
I tried her on her toilet seat (the potty seems to be a none-starter) and she sat there long enough for something to happen, but nothing did. 8 seconds later she was peeing in the bath. It's going to be a long road, this potty training malarkey.
Anyway, she's in bed now. Fast asleep, too. I've got some dishes to do before I settle down to watch a film.
Wednesday tomorrow. Yes. Already.
