Day 796 and 797

Saturday and Sunday.

I am tired.

Yesterday morning I had a hearty breakfast and was out the door at about 12:15. Melissa and Penny dropped me in Ormskirk and I missed the train by about a second. I waited around and the next one arrived about 15 minutes later.

I was a little early, and so went to Costa for a coffee and then John the birthday boy arrived. We went to wait for everyone else in Rigby's. This is where it starts getting hazy. I know we stayed in Rigby's for a fair old amount of time, and then we went on Flanagan's Apple on Mathew Street. By this point we were all well oiled and we kept the lubricant flowing. I should perhaps think of a different metaphor there. But I wont.

I left at, like, I don't know half 8? Made my way to the Lobster Pot for haggis and chips (fucking incredible after innumerable pintage) and sat on the train. I think I was playing air drums and singing loudly to either Pink Floyd or Fleetwood Mac and I don't remember much else.

I put the world to rights with the taxi driver as is traditional, figured out the front door and passed out in front of a documentary about Jay Z.

Had a cracking day, probably, and the birthday boy was in high spirits and seemed to also have a good day. Although he remembers nothing after 6pm.

I was up at 7:20 this morning, and some how I ended up taking Penny downstairs, allowing Melissa a lie in. I still can't figure that out.

Once we were all awake I made breakfast and then we all got suited and booted and headed to church for a  christening, then on to the post christening do where I had a coke and the shakes.

The food was good, Penny ate cake exclusively. This could become a problem. She spent a lot of the time running round the gardens being chased. I was exhausted before we got there. I'm worse now.

She hasn't had a sleep all day, and is currently wandering round like a zombie. She's having her tea and then going to bed, then Melissa and I are going to watch Elementary and then I'm going to sleep. Sooner, rather than later.
