A lie in!
Penny woke up at about 6am, but screw that I was dozing. Melissa went to get her, and she was in bed with us for a bit while I was comatose. At about 8am Melissa took her downstairs, gave her some toast and milk and then we all came back to bed. It was 10am before we heard from her again.
Of course, I felt like shit having had a lie in, and wished I'd got up at 6am, but there we go.
Once we were all up, showered and dressed we headed over to Wallasey to see my mum and dad. We had a cuppa and then went for a walk on the prom. Penny went on some of the amusements and then we we for coffee and cake. Penny stuffed her face with scones while I ate an eccles cake and my mum and dad shared a lemon and lime sponge, then it was back to theirs for a good old fashioned roast. It was excellent considering my mum hasn't cooked a proper meal for about 3 months. Of course, Penny didn't eat a mouthful, but she did enjoy one of my dads yoghurts and a slice of toast. So that's good.
She was knackered and fell asleep in the car so we took her to Mel's mum and dads afterwards to let her wake up and burn off some energy, and we've just now got home. She's in the bath singing "Daisy, Daisy" over and over again. Then it'll be time for a bottle and bed.
Provided she goes off ok I'm looking forward to beer and some Skyrim. Not sure what Melissa's doing. Maybe she'll watch me play some Skyrim, but I doubt it.
My first full week in work for probably over a month starts tomorrow. I can't explain in words how excited I am.
