Day 768

Well, what a day!

Penny woke up at 6:20am, we brought her in bed with us for an hour and then I took her down for milk and toast, then at about 8:30am I took her up to go for her nap, of which she was having none. We kept her up a bit longer, and she phoned my parents who're finally home from their holiday in New Zealand.

The Sky engineers arrived later, about 10:30am, just after Penny had settled down, and fair play to them they were very quiet, professional and courteous. And, more importantly, they appear to have fixed the TV problem. Result.

I had a shower while Melissa cleaned downstairs, then Penny woke up. I sorted her out, then she and Melissa had a bath and I went to (the) ASDA, but not before putting the obligatory bets on the Grand National.

Just before 2pm Lea, Hannah and Dylan came round for tea and biscuits. We had a nice time chatting and so forth, and Melissa and I won £27.5 on the National, and I netted £20 in the sweep at work too. Result.

Then, once they'd left and Penny had had her tea we went to Davey and Andrea's (neighbours of Melissa's parents) for some drinks and nibbles. We had a nice time there, I ate too much guacamole and Penny bounced her heart out on Sophie's trampoline.

Fun.

We've just got home, Penny's knackered, Melissa's knackered, and I'm knackered. I'm going to play Skyrim for a bit and then get in to bed. Hopefully an early night will follow. Knackered.
