Saturday morning was lovely. I got a lie in.
Once we were all up, Melissa went to get her hair done, dropping Penny with her mum, leaving me to have a shower and some lunch before my father in law collected me and dropped me at Ormskirk station.
I toottled into Liverpool to meet Stew, Lea and Tom and we had a coffee, followed by a few drinks in and around Liverpool city centre. A highlight being Monro's, a lowlight being the Bierkeller in Liverpool one, which is probably one of the worst places I've ever consumed an alcoholic beverage.
After we were done drinking I parted ways with the chaps and went to The Lobster Pot for deepfried battered haggis and chips. Amazing.
I made my way back to Ormskirk, then jumped a taxi to Burscough where I met up with Melissa, Penny and the rest of the extended family for Aunty Di's 60th. A wonderful time was had by all, including Penny who was awake until we got home, just after midnight. She was asleep very quickly after that, of course. As were me and Melissa.
Penny woke up at about 7am, but we brought her in bed with us with some milk and she nodded off again until about 10am. Then we got up and went on an Easter Egg hunt. She found all of them and bagged them up.
Then we went to the in laws for breakfast, and we weren't left disappointed.
We came home and Penny and Melissa had a lie down while I played some Bioshock. When they awoke Penny had her tea and Melissa left for work and I was left with Penny. She was very pleasant and we had a lovely time.
Then came bedtime. Guess who wouldn't go to sleep? Guess who still isn't asleep. Guess who's worn me out.
Happy coincidence, Melissa's been granted a holiday so has come home from work to take over. I'm going to order a kebab and drink a bottle of red wine I found in the cupboard.
Happy Easter.
