Penny's feeling much better today. She decided to share that information with us at 4am. We sorted her out with some water or juice or something and she got in to bed with us. At that point everyone was in the same bed. Me, Melissa, Penny and both the cats. It was quite a squeeze.
I got up at about 7am with Penny and we went downstairs for some breakfast and TV. We Skyped my parents and then at about 9am we went upstairs to wake Melissa up.
Penny pottered about for a bit and and 9:30am without any battling she had a nap for 90 minutes, in which time Melissa and I got ready for the day.
Once Penny was awake and dressed we were off to Liverpool for a belated Mother's Day. We shopped ate and then headed home, all spent up.
We popped in to see Melissa's mum and dad and Penny tottered about eating crisps, watching The Snowman and singing songs that no one else could hear. It's nice to have her back to normal.
Home, then. She had some chicken, though not much, and then a bath, some milk (also not much) and then it was bed time.
Melissa and I had tea, and now we're going to try and watch Broadchurch from about 3 weeks ago, on the proviso that I don't fall asleep. No promises, though. I'm knackered. Jet lag is having the last laugh.
See you tomorrow! Don't forget, short week, four day weekend and another short week. Woop!
