Day 753

I must admit, the couch is getting more and more comfortable.

I awoke at 3am to snow. Deep, thick snow blanketing the back garden. I was excited, but thought it would have gone by the time I awoke proper. It had not, and at 6am I was up and running round the house like a little girl.

Well, that's not that true, really. I was pissed off. It's March for fucks sake. It was 21 degrees this time last night. It's like the middle of fucking winter again. I'm so furious I could write a letter.

Still, I trudged and slipped and slopped to work and made the best of a bad situation. At 9:30am I wandered across the road to the dentist. He was, of course, stuck in traffic and so my appointment was postponed until Monday lunchtime, which I'm sure to forget.

I almost walked home, but a kind hearted Ellen made a detour just for me. I found Penny stood in the bay window shouting and waving at me and the snow and she looked an awful lot better. As if to demonstrate this she clambered onto her trampoline and did some bouncing for me.

She hasn't really eaten, or drank all day and we think that rather than having a stomach bug or something, that she's got a throat infection. I have a sore throat, Melissa does too, and it hurts to swallow (no jokes) and is just generally uncomfortable. Neither of us feels particularly ill, and our general demeanour is more than acceptable, which is the same as Penny. We think she's not eating because her throat is sore, and we think the vomiting, rather than being something she ate or whatever, was caused due to an irritation in her throat. She had some water this morning and yesterday without incident, but this evening she was sat in bed with me watching Wayballo (drivel) and had a slight coughing fit, which led to her retching with little bit of heaving and a small amount of phlegmy sick. But her demeanour was fine.

We're not too worried, anyway. And will continue to monitor. She's currently fast asleep in her own bed meaning I'm off the couch for tonight (for now).

The snow is still coming down and is currently pretty fucking deep. It's here to stay for the next few days by the look of things, so our weekend plans have been slightly scuppered.

Hopefully I'll have something interesting to report tomorrow instead of "we watched Justin's House all day and now I want to kill myself".

See you tomorrow!
