Day 760

Friday (Saturday?)

Penny awoke at about 5:50am. We had her in bed with us. She had wind and kept whinging and farting. Once she's finished farting she demanded milk. When that wasn't enough she wanted toast.

We left Melissa in bed and went and watched TV. Penny had some toast, then some more milk, the I put her back to sleep for a couple of hours. Melissa remained asleep for the duration and will not doubt sleep tonight as she's been asleep all morning.

When we were all up, awake, clean and dressed we headed to Aintree ostensibly to buy some cat litter, but while we were there we popped in to the new "Kiddicare" that inhabits the shell that was once a BestBuy.

It's Good Friday that means, traditionally, we're not allowed to eat meat. I don't necessarily agree with this, nor am I sure why we don't, but I go along with it anyway. I've not had any meat today. Penny has though. Melissa unwittingly fed her a ham sandwich. I was a little jealous, but the cheese and mushroom toastie and large latte I got from the in store Starbucks more than made up for it. Penny loved the slides in the play area. Loved them.

We left and went to see Melissa's mum and dad. Penny ate crisps and chocolate and generally pigged out. It's good that she's got her appetite back, but she's never full. Ever.

We came home, via (the) ASDA for some stuff, then me and Penny watched the Cbeebies Panto and Melissa did her workout. Then I cooked the three of us tea while Melissa and Penny did Penny's Easter bonnet. Although really, Melissa did it, and kept Penny at a distance.

Once we'd had tea and before bedtime, Melissa and Penny made Easter nests and I did the dishes.

It's bedtime now. I'm having a few beers and continuing my Bioshock odyssey. Melissa's ironing and watching some drivel. I'll join her later to catch up on The Following, I expect.

I get a lie in tomorrow. Hopefully.
