Day 721 and 722

Sorry for the sudden sparsity of these posts.

Yesterday was Monday and as such fairly uneventful for the most part. Work ticked along steadily and by the time 4pm came along I was ready to leave. I popped by (the) ASDA on they way home for tea for me and Stew. Melissa was in work and Penny was at Melissa's mums. Stew arrived just before 5:45pm, we ate our tea and headed in to Manchester.

We sat in traffic with everyone who we later found out were queuing to see The Killers. Me and Stew, on the other hand, were going The Odeon to see a film I've waited almost 20 years to see on the big screen : True Lies. It was fantastic. A 35ml print, it looked excellent, sounded excellent and cemented its position at the top of my James Cameron Favourites List.

We drove home then, all round the world, as they'd shut the road outside the arena to let the Killer fans out. I've no idea where we went but we ended up on M62 and all was well.

I waited up for Melissa, as I hadn't seen her all day, and then we both slept really well (Penny stayed at Melissa's mums).

I sprang out of bed as well as I could at 7:20am, given the state of my knee. I've self diagnosed myself with sciatica. It hasn't been as bad today as it has been recently, and I didn't have to take any drugs until after work. The walk home finished me off.

We had a delicious tea and then Melissa left for work, leaving me and Penny to catch up on all the goss. She's not been eating much, mainly because she's mostly useless with a spoon, but if we try and feed her she goes ballistic. She did enjoy playing dip dip with bread and soup this evening, and had most of a waffle.

She had a bath, then we watch In The Night Garden and I put her to bed. She was knackered. She's been out playing in the street all day with the kids in Melissa's mums road, and apparently refusing to come inside.

Melissa's hoping to finish work early this evening, as she feels like boiled cat shit. I best get the dishes done before she gets home!

See you tomorrow. Promise.
