Day 682

We heard little else from Penny last night, fortunately, and I was able to get up at 7am without disturbing anyone.

I walked to work. It's gone cold over night and I was ill-prepared. I got to work, nevertheless, and did some bits and bobs (including buying a new computer mouse, as this one is going to be the death of me) and then, more or less, it was time to come home.

Of course in the midst of all that, Melissa had been in contact. Penny had been unwell again, just not herself. She ate some stuff, but she's just not quite right. Anyway, along with Melissa's mum they went to the and A&E which is a surefire to get Penny to perk right up. A little online research suggested she might have a water infection, so the doctor suggested they get her to pee in a cup. Instead of complying with that request, however, Penny just ran round, naked, pissing on the floor. They eventually took a sample off the floor, checked it, and all seemed well. She has an inflamed throat, as before Christmas, but there's no sign of infection, so we're just keeping her pumped with Calpol and throat spray. Awesome.

They came home, Penny wasn't quite herself, but was much better than I was expecting. She ran round shouting and shoving the occasional chip in her face. All is apparently well. Ish.

She's in bed now, post bath, post bottle. I'm cooking tea and hoping to finish the show Melissa and I started last night.

Friday tomorrow. It snuck up on you, didn't it?
