Tuesday.
Penny was fine last night after all that. She couldn't find her dummy on a couple of occasions, but aside from that she went right through until about 7am. I walked to work. It was almost warm. And I was almost on time.
We spent the day mapping out our yearly objectives. Fun.
After work Melissa picked me up and dropped me and Penny off at the post box, less than 100 metres from our front door. Once I'd convinced Penny that posting the letter was a good idea, and that throwing it in the mud definitely was not, we walked home. I got lost. Unbelievable, I know, but true. Even more confusing, the normal route home from the post box would bring us out directly in front of our house. Today I ended up about 150 metres up the road to the right. No idea how I managed that. Melissa was equally confused.
Once inside Melissa sorted Penny out and I cooked tea. I say cooked, what actually happened was I warmed the outside of some chicken fillets and served them up still mostly pink inside. Melissa noticed first and immediately purged for fear of salmonella on her birthday. I'm harder than that and I'm letting my digestive tract fight the good fight.
Melissa went to work at about 5:30pm leaving me and Penny to play catch and just have a bit of fun, but she was tired and decided at 6pm that it was time for bed, so upstairs we went. And in to the bath she was put.
She's got a bit of a cold so I dosed her up on Calpol before bed and doused her room with Karvol.
This evening I will be mostly cleaning the kitchen, hoovering and changing the bedsheets. This is my life. Jealous?
At least I have the luxury of a day off tomorrow. I've (rather optimistically) turned my alarm off, anticipating a lie in. I hope Penny's done the same.
See you tomorrow!
