Day 669, 670 and 671

Due to the excessive consumption of alcohol, coupled with chronic fatigue, there's no way I'll accurately be able to recap the past 3 days in any great detail.

Friday, however, saw me leaving work (yes, work) at 3pm, being ferried to Ormskirk station, where a train whisked me to Wallasey.

I was collected from the station by Stew, who dropped me at home with my parents. We chatted, ate pizza, and soon enough I was suited, booted, and on my way to meet Stew for some beers. Lea joined us, then John and his mate Chris (who left fairly soon after joining us) and then, much later, Tom.

We sampled the delights of three public houses before heading to the new casino in New Brighton. By jove it was a merry evening. I left my compatriots a little before 1am where I indulged myself with some fine dining.

And then it was Saturday. I slept mostly well, and at 9am I dragged myself out of bed, had a cup of tea and some toast which my father prepared for me, and then I met Stew for lunch.

Just after 1 my mum, dad and Me were heading back to Skelmersdale where we met up with Melissa and Penny at Melissa's mums house. We had a natter and a chin wag and then, once my parents had left, Melissa and I headed home to get ready for another festive night out.

We headed up to Tracy and Dave's in the company of Howard at about 7pm. We ate, we drank, and we were merry. It was nice to catch up with Matt and Nic and Henry, and when they left about 11:30pm it gave us a good excuse to go too. Howard was driving, so he gave us a lift.

We got home and slept until 10am, then headed up to the in laws for our daughter and breakfast. In that order. Once we'd had breakfast we headed up to Ikea (madness) where I procured some shelves and Melissa procured some unneeded tat, as well as some new clothes for Penny from Next. Then we went to (the) ASDA in Wigan where we procured a play-kitchen set for Penny reduced from £75 to £17.50. I also bought the component ingredients for a chilli con carne which I prepared as soon as we got home.

Penny's had a great few days and is back to her old self after her sickness. She's running round like a maniac and talking more shit than ever. She's loving all her new stuff, especially her play tent and keyboard. When I get a minute I'll build her kitchen for her, but not tonight. No chance.

This evening is hopefully going to involve takeaway pizza, a small amount of alcohol, and another earlyish night as I have work (yes, work) in the morning.

I may not post tomorrow evening, so in case I don't : Have a fantastic new years eve, whatever it is you end up doing, and I'll see you on new years day!
