Day 655

3:30am was my alarm call this morning. Due to the deep wound in Melissa's arm she was unable to rock, soothe or cradle Penny, and so it was, that between 3:30am and 5am I was unable to sleep due to the there being a small, rather lively child in my arms.

I dragged myself out of bed and walked to work, arriving a little later than planned, but all in all, on time.

I was soon dispatched to just about everywhere for everything (breakfasts for people, mainly). I returned to work and bided my time until 3pm, when I left (early today) and was met by Melissa, who hastened to us to her friend Lorraine's house where we chatted and so forth.

We drove home, then, in a pissing, freezing rain, listening to nursery rhymes and reliving out childhoods. Admittedly Penny's still living hers.

I cooked some sort of shepherds pie type affair, then shot to (the) ASDA for bog roll and milk for Penny.

I came home. Penny was put to bed. We ate. I wrote this while Melissa watched some drivel.

Have a great and wonderful weekend everyone!
