Day 642

Penny ain't well. She noticeably got more snuffly towards the end of the day, and when she woke up in the middle of the evening (thankfully after our tea) she was snotty and coughy and wheezy. We amused each other for a bit. Her demeanour was very pleasant, but she'd developed a cough like a 40 a day old man. We showed her the Christmas tree to cheer her up. She loved it. It was a lovely moment. It's worth mentioning, too, that's she's doing a lot more walking. Look out world!

We eventually got her back off to sleep, at about midnight. Maybe a little later. She woke up at about 6am, but we left her to it, and soon it was a little after 8am and she was in bed with us, still snotty, coughy and wheezy, but otherwise fine.

The three of went down for breakfast then and played and ate for a bit, and at about 10am I left to do some things and Melissa put Penny down for her nap.

I had to get a new buld fitted in the drivers side headlight, cat litter, a strip adapter, some insulating stuff and a tree topper for the second Christmas tree. I accomplished these tasks with aplomb. A man from Halford's helped me with the first thing. Then I went home and carried on with my busy day. I cleaned windows, Christmass'd the front of the house, put stuff back in the loft, insulated the loft hatch (sort of) and then commenced operation "clean the fuck out of my office". I'm nearly finished. I've some shit to take to the tip tomorrow, and I think I need to buy some new shelves too. For books, and other crap. I can see my desk for the first time in about 11 months. It's made of wood!

After Penny's nap she woke up sounding worse than ever. She's basically lost her voice. She sounds like a 50 year old cab driver called Alan. It's amusing. She's bit clingy, and still snotty, but other than that she seems fine.

She's in bed now. I'm sitting her sneezing, waiting for an antihistamine to take effect.

Soon I will drink beer and probably fall asleep at my desk.

See you tomorrow! There's a slight chance of pictures. Slender, at best. Oh I also went to (the) ASDA today. It was working again. I bought stuff. We rejoiced.
