We upped, had toast, tea, and were out the door by 12pm and away to Wigan to look for a new Christmas tree and some out door lights and decorations. Melissa has been quoted as saying "we're making the house look like the Griswold's this year". Fortunately we don't have a ladder, so the roof is out of bounds.
We bought nothing. Penny made a new friend in the form a singing mouse. She also took ten steps, unaided.
B&Q out the way it was time to hit (the) ASDA up. We did a bit of a shop and Penny nodded off in the car on the way home. I had a road rage incident with some utter, utter, utter tosser and then we went home.
I cooked tea while Penny watched TV and Melissa showered then we all ate (probably) my best corned beef hash yet. Then it was a quick (it took over an hour) change and we were off to the pub for a work colleagues surprise 50th birthday party.
We mingled with friends while we waited for the guest of honour to arrive, Penny got a chance to do some gambling and then, the birthday girl arrived. She was duly surprised and after a drink and some hellos and goodbyes we brought a very tired (and probably out of pocket) Penny home.

Melissa's currently putting her to sleep, and I'll be sitting up staring at the clock waiting for a phone call from my father in law to ask me to come and collect him and his wife, my mother in law, from the train station.
Sunday tomorrow. Weather permitting we'll be doing some gardening while Penny aggravates Melissa's mothers hangover.
It's all fun and games!
