Days 582 - 587

Well, sorry for the lengthy delay. I'm not going to give you a full recap; I can't be bothered. Instead, have some interesting bullet points and photographs.

Tuesday - Day 582

  • 2nd Wedding Anniversary
  • Beautiful wife
  • Wonderful mother
  • Love her to bits
  • Very lucky man

Wednesday - Day 583

  • Left the house just after 1pm

  • Postman Pat
  • Cooked breakfast
  • Out for the day
  • Barmouth for lunch
  • Harlech Castle for the views

Wales

Corned beef has for 3.
Friday - Day 585
  • Another cracking nights sleep
  • Seagulls unimpressed with thunderstorm
  • Corris Craft Centre (Childhood haunt of the Powel family)
  • Eschewed "King Arthur's Labyrinth" in favour of not crippling ourselves
  • Best cheese on toast ever
  • Back to campsite
  • Walk on the beach (worst day of the holiday for it)
  • Back into Barmouth for fish and chips for tea
  • Potentially best fish and chips ever
  • Spam Fritter

Saturday - Day 586

  • Unbelievably, another good nights sleep
  • Glorious day, unprecedented, even.
  • Went to Fairbourne Railway over little rickety wooden bridge. 60p. Bargain.
  • Minor misunderstanding saw out 2.5 train journey last 15 minutes.
  • Bought Welsh beers.
  • Not all bad.
  • Headed back to Barmouth
  • Ice cream
  • Walk on the proper beach.
  • Attempted to have a lovely dinner out
  • Failed miserably
  • Ended up with curry and Chinese back in the caravan
  • Can't complain

Sunday - Day 587

  • Four for Four ANOTHER excellent nights sleep. The best yet.
  • Packed up
  • Ran out of gas (no hot water, no heating)
  • Headed home (lovely drive, glorious weather, few tractors or caravans)
  • Stopped at the in laws to see some flying visitors (our Cornish family)
  • Roast dinner
  • Came home
  • Knackered.

Well, that's about it. For the interested parties, I have posted (will be posting) more pictures to Facebook momentarily. Some with hilarious captions. After that I will drink a Welsh beer and eat some crisps then join my wife in bed for some television and sleeping.

We had a lovely break away, just the three of us, and I look forward to our next family holiday. Whenever that might be.

I shall be back tomorrow, hopefully with an update that involves boring sentences, weak humour and little else.

See you then!
