Penny woke us up at 6:30am and we got her into bed with us. It was about 8am before we got up and went downstairs to open my presents.
I got this lot :
From left to right there is: Spider-Man bubble bath, Spider-Man bubble gun and shower gel, Batman belt and wallet set, Lynx deodorant, Iron Man tshirt, Avengers tshirt, a Refreshers money box, bottle of Glenfiddich 12 year old single malt, a big mug that says "30" on it, and oh, what's that back there? Only a near mint condition copy of The Amazing Spider-Man #39 from 1971. Awesome.
After that I had a lovely breakfast of a Pop-Tart, and then a sausage and egg barm/bap/batch/bun/barm cake/bread cake/muffin/roll.
So far you'd be forgiven for thinking this is the typical birthday of a 14 year old. Except for the Scotch.
Penny had a little nap and Melissa and I got ourselves ready for the day and just before midday my parents came to visit.
They brought with them more goodies, including another belt (Marvel this time), a huge book about DC Comics, and this little beauty :
Also awesome.
After we listened to Penny make some silly noises and once again refuse to do any sort of walking (lazy) we went up to Martin Mere for some lunch and to see the ducks. I forgot to take any photographs at all, and so you'll just have to trust me that it happened. It was a lovely afternoon, if a little cold, then we came home, drank tea and ate cake. Noms.
Once my parent's had left (thanks again, guys!) and Penny had awoken from her nappage, we went up to see Melissa's mum and our Devonshire guests. More cake was eaten, and I was duped into carving a pumpkin for Halloween tomorrow night.

| Well it scared me! |
We brought Penny home, bathed her, fed her, chucked her in bed. She's been on form today, even napping when she should have done. She's definitely cut another tooth, too, bringing the grand total to more than two and fewer than forty. It's impossible to tell, as she never opens her mouth wide enough, long enough to count.
We have Devon people staying with us tonight, so it's Hocus Pocus (which I remember going to see at the cinema for my birthday when I was about 10) and Chinese food.
Once everyone else is in bed I'm going to sit on the couch with a glass of Scotch and contemplate my past, present and future. 30 years. Fuck me.
Thanks again, everyone!
