Day 591

Despite a shaky start to the night, it wasn't Penny who woke me up at midnight and then 1am. No. It was Melissa. Penny slept all the way until 7am. She woke up, covered in snot, her nose all caked in ick but was bright as a button and ready to take on the world.

I left for work at that point, and spent the day, predictably, working. I bought some shoes for my Halloween costume at lunch time (£70 reduced to £15). They must be good because Melissa hates them. They should see me into the winter, too, when it gets cold and slippery on the walk into work. Those of you who know me, know I'm prone to slipping over and smashing my head on the floor.

Melissa and Penny picked me up from work, and then she dumped me and Penny at home while she nipped out on an errand. I tried to phone my dad, but Penny wouldn't let me use the phone, so I waited until Melissa came home and then tried again.

Once I'd spoken to my dad I fed Penny her tea while Melissa cooked ours. We all ate, then it was bath time and then bedtime.

This evening Melissa's planning on a nice, hot, relaxing bath, I'm planning on a beer and some TV shows.

Penny? Who knows. Let's hope top of her priorities is sleeping.

Friday tomorrow. Can you feel it?
