Day 579 and 580

Firstly, let me just apologise for the quality of this post. If my current mood is reflected it, it's going to be shite.

Saturday. 2:15am. Awake with a pain. 4:20am and one hideous nappy and we were finally back to bed. This is Penny, by the way. Not Melissa. It was about 8am before she woke up again. Knackered.

We got up and I gave her some milk, some cereal, some of my porridge and we watched Ultimate Spider-Man on Disney XD followed by some Pokemon. I got her to say "Pikachu" by the end of it. Awesome.

Melissa eventually got up and I made us breakfast, then I went out do the Post Office, City Link in Haydock and the Pets At Home in Wigan. For reasons too numerous to go in to.

I arrived home just after midday, and then we drove up to Melissa's mums to drop Penny off for the afternoon/night.

We said our goodbyes and came home to tidy the shit (figurative and literal) out of the house. I went to the tip, then (the) ASDA where I vacuumed the car, bought some booze and then headed home making sure to keep out of the way of Melissa's tidying frenzy.

Then it was a case of showered, popping in on Penny at nannys, and then collecting Tracy and Dave for an evening of wine, movies and chit chat. Oh, and pizza. It would be true to say we've had worse evenings.

We finally got rid of them just after midnight and Melissa and I went to bed, looking forward to a good nights sleep. Of course, my body rejected this idea and at 4am I was awake with crippling indigestion. I searched the house for Rennies, and got back in to bed. But I couldn't get back to sleep as I had a tight chest and was generally uncomfortable and unable to sleep.

We got up around 10am and went to collect Penny, who had just gone down for her nap. Having slept for her nanny from 7:30pm until 8am. The bitch.

We got home at around 1pm and gave her her lunch, then just before 2pm my mum and dad arrived and we spent the afternoon making Penny do stuff. She was on fine form, as usual.

Once my parents had left I cooked a lovely dinner for Melissa and while Penny ate heartily herself and then we put her in the bath. She tried to drown herself whilst making it look like an accident but we were on hand to prove otherwise. We got her out, clothed her and then she sat with Melissa reading some books.

Melissa's currently giving her her bottle and then it's bed time. I fully expect her to wake up at about 3am, given that it's Monday tomorrow.

Can't wait.
