4:30am. In contention for a new record. I took her downstairs at about 5:30am when it became apparent she wasn't going back to sleep. Penny, this is. Not Melissa.
Anyway, I put her back to sleep at 6:20am and crawled back in to bed where I lay, comatose, for what seemed like forever. Then it was 7:20am and my alarm was bleeping. Then it was 7:30am and I'd fallen back to sleep.
I dived out of bed, text Jeff re a lift, which he kindly obliged with and then it was a case of sleep walking through work, basically.
Melissa and Penny picked me up at 4pm and we came home, ate tea together. Penny has got a taste for strawberryies and Spam. I picked her up to play and she smelled very peculiar. Melissa went to work, then, leaving me and Penny to play about. I saved her life on one occasion. She won't remember it happening, and there was no one around to witness my cat-like agility. You'll just have to trust me. It happened. I bathed her, brought her back downstairs to watch University Challenge (we were both shit this week) and then I took her to bed at about 7pm.
30 minutes and a minor struggle later she was asleep.
I tidied the kitchen and all that sort of shit and then set about fixing my computer, which I think I have accomplished. We shall see, though.
I'm going to try and get into bed early tonight, but there's a certain paranoia in me that thinks that the second I doze off, Penny will wake up, so that makes it tricky.
We. Shall. See.
