We drank the wine, ate the chips, Howard did some card tricks and then we went to the pub. We drank a few pints in there, then left when the "entertainment" came on. Some lad with a backing tape singing. I'd have preferred someone playing guitar and singing at the very least. We headed then to another pub. We got inside, and quickly left when we realised they didn't have any cask ales and did have a selection of clientèle with shaved heads and tracksuits. There was also poorly hand written signs, and I'm too snobby to hang round in somewhere like that, so we went back to Howard's, watched some comedy and then I got a taxi home where I found Melissa in bed, and Penny fast asleep in her bed.
It was nearly 8am before we heard from her. Thank God for Calpol.
We lounged in bed for a bit, then we got up. I gave Penny some milk and made some porridge for myself, then Melissa came and fed Penny, while I had a shower.
We were out the door and on the way to the Trafford Centre by 11am. Just before we hit the junction for the Trafford Centre, though, I had a change of heart and we went to Manchester city centre. Something I've we've never done before. It was pretty good, too.
We got some clothes, coffee, I got a Manchester branded Starbucks mug (my 15th now, definitely not my most exotic). Taco bell.

| She was more excited than me! |
We came home via (the) ASDA for some tea and diesel and now you're up to speed.
Penny's top teeth seem to really be bothering her. She's been rubbing her cheeks and yanking on her ears a lot. Hence the Calpol, innit.
Melissa's safely ensconcing herself in the bedroom this evening with the return of Strictly Come Dancing followed by X Factor. I'm doing anything I can to avoid that. A film, some beers and a pork and Stilton pie courtesy of Ellen and Taylor's Farm Shop.
Noms.
Continue having a great weekend everyone!
