Wednesday. The weekend is in sight. This week really seems to be dragging.
Penny slept well, once again, and at 7am I sprang out of bed (once I'd regained feeling in my hands, upon which I'd apparently slept rather awkwardly), showered and away'd myself to work.
As I neared work I thought I was being attacked by an invisible bee. Turns out it was my phone vibrating; it was Jeff asking if I wanted anything from McDonald's. Who am I to refuse a latte?
Work was busier still today, but it still dragged a bit. Melissa and Penny (dressed from head to toe in a pink velour tracksuit) picked me up at 4pm, and we went home.
We let Penny feed herself tonight. With hilarious consequences.
We stripped her off so as not to ruin her tracksuit and left her to it. She was quite content, and it allowed Melissa and myself to sort tea for ourselves. I joined Penny though, when Batman came on ITV4.
I finished off the rabbit pie for tea, along with more (less) creamy mustard mash, and then Melissa bathed Penny and I hoovered and cleaned the kitchen. We sat with Penny a bit after her bath, watching drivel on the kids channels, and now, Melissa's feeding her and putting her to bed.
This evening, I'm chore free. It feels great. I will most likely watch TV while Melissa irons.
Thursday tomorrow. We're in the home stretch.
