It was quite a slow day, with very little going on. This is not a complaint.
Ellen drove me home at 4pm and I cooked up a delicious bbq chicken affair with rice and bacon and so forth. It was delicious. Even Melissa ate it all. Penny had a donut. She'd eaten her tea earlier.
Once we'd eaten, Melissa got herself ready for work and me and Penny watched Pointless and some Masterchef and then I chucked her in the bath. I dried her off, talc'd her down, chose some jim jams, clothed her and gave her a bottle. All by myself. I'm knackered now.
But that, my friends, is just the tip of the ice berg. I now have a kitchen to clean, a play room to hoover, cat litter to change and a wifi card to fit into a laptop. I had started writing today with no intention of having a drink tonight, but have written down all that I might just have to open a bottle.
Is it only Tuesday tomorrow?!
See you then!
