I left Melissa have a bit of a lie in as she's in work tonight, and I went downstairs to watch Avenger and Ultimate Spider-Man on Disney XD. Reluctantly I took Penny along with me.
At about 10:30am I dumped Penny with Melissa, who was just getting up and went to get bacon and milk from the shop. Melissa put Penny down for a nap. She lasted about 20 minutes, as she woke up just after I got back from the shop. It didn't stop me from frying the bacon and poaching some eggs and altogether making some pretty good bacon and egg butties.
We then caught up on Celebrity Masterchef while Penny played about with her toys.
At 1pm it became apparent that Penny was shattered once again, so Melissa put her down for a kip and we carried on with Masterchef. We've got quite a backlog.
Just after 1:30pm my mum and dad arrived baring donuts and demanding tea. I complied in exchange for donuts and then Penny woke up and we all played in the playroom before we took Penny outside to show Grandma and Granddad how much she loved her swing.

More tea for my mum and dad, then, and once they'd gone Melissa fed Penny while I prepared tea for us. We've started giving Penny her yoghurt to feed herself. This has varying results.
This photo was taken yesterday, but you get the point. Messy.
Tea eaten and Penny bathed Melissa went to work leaving me to amuse Penny until bedtime. She lasted just over an hour before she kicked off at at 7pm I brought her up to bed. Which is when she got even worse. She's never been particularly troublesome to get to sleep, but this evening she was refusing her bottle, pointing at the bedroom door and screaming. I think she was missing Melissa, and very soon I was too. But I calmed explained to her that "mummy's at work" and "shut up please shut up please shut up" and soon she got the point. She drank her bottle and nodded off in my arms and is currently fast asleep.
I look forward to seeing her at 2am.
Back to work tomorrow. Woo.
