Someone decided that 2am was a good time to wake up this morning. It wasn't me, and it wasn't Melissa. It wasn't even the cats. I'll leave you to fill in the blanks. It was Penny.
Melissa was knackered, so was I, so was Penny, but she didn't seem to want to go to sleep. Not until at least 4:30am, anyway.
Still, it was a lovely morning when my alarm went off, and the day remained pretty good for the duration. Work was busy enough to keep the clock ticking over and Melissa and Penny (who was asleep) picked me up from work for a minor (the) ASDA excursion. I picked up the ingredients for my cheesecake and we got some food stuffs for tea, then came home.
Melissa fed Penny while I prepared tea for us. Penny sat on the floor while we were eating, following the food with her eyes, even throwing an epic tantrum when Melissa took an empty yoghurt pot off her. Funny stuff.
Once the kitchen space was clear I set to work on my cheesecake, while Melissa and Penny fought upstairs. Penny doesn't appear to have adjusted well to the minor change in routine and come about 6pm turns into a little cow. Fortunately, that was Melissa's problem tonight.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a cheesecake to check on.
See you tomorrow!
