7am start. Tolerable. We all slept pretty well, too. Result.
Work was ok, as per usual. Pretty busy. Melissa's part way through her last week of training now. She seems to be enjoying it. In fact, it's fair to say she doesn't hate it. She's made some new friends, and aside from being knackered, is generally quite up beat.
Penny went to the Blue Planet Aquarium today. Lucky. She loves that sort of thing. Both Melissa and myself were very jealous we didn't get to go along. Next time though. Next time.
I cooked up some chicken and rice for tea and we ate it hastily, then Melissa went out leaving me to reach a milestone. Ladies and gentlemen, tonight, for the first time in over one year, I bathed and put to bed my own daughter. Arduous is one word that comes to mind. Stressful is another. She was really tired and really grumpy. She didn't have much of her porridge, but she had most of her milk, then she went to sleep pretty quickly. It was far from a doddle, but I'll tell Melissa it was when she gets home. She'll never know different.
When she does get home, she'll have two 10 year old girls with her, Maggie and Gracie. I'm going to watch a film with them, of my choosing, and then they will sleep on the new chair bed. At least that's the plan. I'm excited for them.
That is, of course, if I don't fall asleep first.
See you tomorrow.
