Friday. Penny woke up at 3am, presumably because she had that Friday feeling. We eventually got her back to sleep at about 4am. She woke up then at 6:30am, but only for a moment, and before we knew it, it was 8am and we were borderline late for work.
Mother in law arrived to collect Penny and drop Melissa and me off at work and before long it was lunchtime. I purchased some weed control fabric. 40 square metres of the stuff. Seems excessive, I know, but better save than sorry.
I missed Melissa for lunch; my phone's been a bit flaky sending/receiving messages today, but that was OK because soon enough 5pm arrived and we went to meet Mel's mum and Penny. They were both happy to see us. Penny because she's adorable like that, and Mel's mum because she'd had Penny and the neighbours little girl all day and had been run ragged. I'm not jealous.
Home, then. We watched some Olympics, then started the bathing/bedding process. It was during this process Penny chose to wee on me, obviously annoyed that she'd missed me yesterday morning. Clever girl.
Melissa's downstairs watching Wonder Pets with Penny, who's having her bottle. Soon she'll be brought to bed and, fingers crossed, we can relax.
It's Big Brother eviction night tonight. There's rumours of a double eviction, too, which means I won't get a look in. Fortunately I have a vast area of movies at my disposal, and several bottles of real ale to sup.
