Tuesday.
Once again we slept well, and at 6:50am I was woken by Penny who was crawling across the bed to wake me up. This would have been adorable, if she hadn't slipped and bonked her head on the bed frame. Screams, tears, and then it was time to get up. She was fine.
We dropped Melissa at work at about 9am and then Penny and I came home. I made up some porridge for her, which she gladly ate and then I put her down for a nap for an hour. I watched Team GB get injured a lot in the Olympics and then, at about 10:45am Penny woke up.
I brought her down and she played on the mat for ages while I watched the TV. Before long it was time for her lunch. I gave her a box of raisins to tide her over, and then gave her chicken and pepper risotto. She got bored about 1/4 into it and gave up and tried to escape from her chair which annoyed me. I persevered but in the end I gave her her yoghurt and then left her watching TV while I made my lunch. I shared my crisps and apple with her and then before we knew it, nanny was here to take over.
I jumped in the shower and then nanny dropped me off at work. I got up to level 4 and realised I still had the car key in my pocket (the car senses the presence of the key, you don't actually have to insert it). I didn't know if this meant that my car would fail and leave my mother in law and daughter stranded at the side of the dual carriage way or what, but fortunately it just meant she couldn't turn the engine off, meaning she had to come back to work to collect the key.
Work was fine. More Olympics, less work, and the Melissa came to meet me just before 5pm and we met her mum outside, then we went home, she picked up her car, and Melissa, Penny and I went to (the) ASDA.
Once that was out the way Melissa bathed and fed Penny while I cooked tea, which we have just eaten.
Tomorrow should go smoother. Teething problems, and all that.
