Monday.
We all managed to sleep well last night, so that was fortunate. Penny woke up at about 6:30am I think and Melissa brought her in to our room where she refused to go back to sleep, and insisted on saying "hiya" over and over again to inanimate objects, cats and walls.
Finally taking the hint, I got up at 7ish, showered and walked to work where I spent a large portion of my day watching the Olympics and drinking coffee.
I walked home to an empty house, whilst catching up on the phone with my dad, then I sat on the stairs, alone, weeping silently and waiting for Melissa and Penny to come home.
They did come home, eventually and we all went and watched some TV while Penny crawled and squawked around until, by 6pm, we'd had enough, bathed her and put her to bed. Melissa went to (the) ASDA for some supplies and I upgraded the firmware on my TV.
Penny was discharged from the hospital today, over her sicking issues. She's hardly ever sick any more. Except when she has too much ice cream, or too many Quavers. She's 19lb11oz (I checked with Melissa and while I usually get the weight updates wrong, this time it's correct). That's not a big baby by any stretch but the doctors aren't worried, and neither are we.
This evening we're watching a film together and tomorrow Melissa's going to work 9 - 5 for training, which means I'm in charge of Penny ALL morning. Until nanny comes round and relieves me of my duties so I can retire to the blessed peace and quiet of work.
See you tomorrow.
