We all slept through last night, good and well. I was therefore confused when, by 11am I was falling asleep at my desk.
Still, work was OK. Friday's usually are. Except when they're not. Obviously.
I met Melissa, her mum and Penny at the Concourse after work and then we drove home with dust sheets, bin bags and a tube of bubbles. The bubbles were for Penny.
Once I'd dropped Penny and Melissa home, I nipped to (the) ASDA for beer. I really fancied a beer this evening. I'm not ashamed to say we're quite looking forward to watching the Olympic opening ceremony, and I reckon a beer will only serve to heighten the enjoyment.
Penny's gone to bed now, after a bath, bottle and the Wonder Pets. Melissa's ordered Chinese food for us to eat. We're also quite looking forward to that too. I'm counting it as fuel for a busy weekend ahead that should include one or more trips to the tip and the construction of a heavy piece of flat pack furniture. Don't worry, I bought enough beer to last until tomorrow night, when I will definitely need it.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
See you tomorrow!
