Today was Thursday.
As is becoming routine, Penny woke up at 6am-ish, but she was still tired. I made her a bottle, then showered and went to work, leaving her and Melissa to go back to sleep. Not jealous at all.
Work was OK, not as busy as it has been. The highlight of the day was surely the trip to the cobblers. A man there cut a key for me in 10 seconds flat. And it worked. Incredible. Oh and there was a thunder storm today, and an epic down pour. But it didn't last long.
I walked home to an empty house and moped about until Melissa and Penny came home. Melissa had been to get her hair done. Penny, who could do with some style tips, didn't get hers done, choosing, I can only assume, to emulate her fathers flair for style and panache. Perhaps.
They came home and I had a snuggle with Penny, Penny she was pretty tired so we bathed her, fed her and stuck her in bed. She's still there now. Although, we're not sure how long she'll be staying in the bed for as she's started to try and escape. She's pulling herself up and standing in the cot, despite me lowering it. Uh oh.
Once she was asleep I cobbled together a delicious Szechuan chicken dish with rice and left Melissa to watch some TV.
Friday tomorrow. That's exciting. Trust me.
See you then.
