Double blog goodness today. I try not to make a habit of this, but sometimes I'm just too busy (lazy) to bother.
After blogging on Friday night I went to bed, and lay there being subjected to all manner of bilge until it was time to go to bed. Truly, I wasted the evening. Though it was nice to spend time with Melissa, just the two of us, watching TV, chatting and moaning about how much of a prick Lydia (Big Brother) is.
Saturday morning and Penelope was up with the larks, as per usual, at about 6am. We all got up and I amused her while Melissa got herself ready for the day, as well as preparing Penny's stuff. This meant wrestling, preventing her from throwing herself off the bed, eating inedible stuff and just generally amusing her. I brought her in to my office to listen to some music and she said "hello" to her aunty Jenni in New Zealand on Skype.
Then Melissa took her to Slimming World leaving me to risk my life once again to put everything back in the loft that I'd taken down last week.
Later in the afternoon my mum and dad came round and we went out for cake and coffee. Penny wouldn't shut up, shouting and screaming at everyone and everything in a cavernous coffee shop. The acoustics were excellent, and she was getting a lot of smiles from people. She gets that from her mother.
We came back home, fed Penny, had a cup of tea and waved goodbye to my mum and dad, then I went to (the) ASDA for nappies and pizza, we bathed Penny and I dropped her and Melissa up at her mum and dads house. They stayed there last night as I was due in work at 2am for a project implementation. Remember back in March? Same thing. This time it all went swimmingly and I was back in bed by 5:30am.
I slept untl 9:50am, got up, at toast, drank tea, showered and picked Melissa and Penny up and we went into Liverpool for coffee and shopping. Melissa and Penny got loads of stuff. I paid for the car park. I feel cheated, somehow.
We came home (via (the) ASDA), and Penny finally slept in the car for about an hour. She didn't sleep well last night. Missing her dad (me), I bet, and didn't sleep for the whole time we were in Liverpool. She's far too nosey.
Anyway, this evening, I'm pretty knackered, but I'm going to watch a film I think, while Melissa catches up on Big Brother and whatever other dross it is she watches.
England will probably go out of Euro 2012 tonight. They play Italy in 2 hours time. I won't be watching, obviously. Not while there's Batman to watch.
See you tomorrow!
