Day 470

Firstly, I completely forgot to wish my brother David a happy 26th birthday yesterday. So, happy birthday David. He lives in New Zealand so I'm going to blame time differences and so forth. I should get away with it. I sent him a card, and that's what counts. Isn't it?

Penny has teeth. Two of them. You can hear them clinking on her bottle lid, or anything thin and plastic she puts in her mouth. Or the rim of a glass, which is what Melissa used to demonstrate. They're not particularly visible, largely because she keeps putting her tongue in the way, but they're definitely there. Yay. She turns 10 months on Sunday. Which is mental.

We all slept well, until about 6am, when Penny woke us up with her morning chorus of chirps, tweets and fart noises. We found her facing the wrong way in her bed, covered in stuffed toys. She's quite the wriggler. Still not crawling yet. Just wriggling around in circles. She's been sleeping more during the day now. It used to be a chore to get her to nod off, but these days it's quite easy, and she'll have a nice long mid morning nap. Probably down to her teeth. I'm blaming everything on her teeth.

Work was alright. Busy again. I walked home, which was nice. It was warm and not raining.

Melissa fed Penny, then I played with her and we watched Curious George while Melissa cooked tea without the aid of an oven. We've got a man coming to investigate the oven issue tomorrow morning. Hopefully he can fix it for a negligible sum, else it's new oven time.

I think Melissa's planning on starting the new series of True Blood tonight, which means I'm in my office reading about Batman for at least an hour, then, I don't know, perhaps a bit of XBOX.

This time last week it was Thursday.

See you tomorrow.
