Monday. I didn't go to bed until nearly 1am, and then I couldn't sleep. The reason? The Dark Knight Rises tickets came on sale at midnight. And I'm that sad.
I slept quite well, I think. Penny woke at 6am, chunnering away through the monitor. We eventually relented and got up, Melissa sorted her out and I walked to work. It was a lovely morning, quite warm, quite humid, and just quite lovely. At parts I imagined I was in Jurassic Park, and that's when I realised I could have done with another hour of sleep.
It was quite a busy day, all in all, and I walked home at 4pm, glad to be out of work.
I got home, Melissa and Penny arrived shortly afterwards, and I fed Penny while Melissa cooked our tea. I took Penny into the living room to watch the football (there was a new Batman trailer in the advert break) and then Melissa broke the oven. We can't close the door. I think the hinges have popped. I found someone online who'd had the same problem and needed new hinges and a man to come and visit to do the work. I'll make some enquiries tomorrow. Hopefully it's fixable and we won't have to shell out for a new cooker. That would be inconvenient.
Penny's been a proper grump today. She slept for two hours this afternoon and has been whingey all evening. I can legitimately blame her teeth now, given that she actually has some. Melissa's feeding her and putting her to bed as we speak, then she's going out to a medium sized shop at (the) ASDA.
Tuesday tomorrow. See you.
