I got up at daybreak to watch Venus transit past the rising sun; the last time this will happen until 2117. Not really, I just slept and looked at the professional pictures on the internet later on.
I actually slept really well, possibly because Melissa had spent the night with Penny at her mums house as she was on babysitting duties for our visitors from Devon today. I walked to work, managing to miss the rain and got stuck in to a reasonable day, considering the long bank holiday weekend.
I was due to walk home, but it was raining. Luckily Howard offered me a lift, and so we went to (the) ASDA (could be considered my second home) and then he dropped me home.
Melissa had, rather selfishly, taken out guests to Pizza Hut to tea, leaving me to dine alone, weeping. She and Penny waltzed in a little after 6pm, I'd put the recycling out, done my dishes, and just generally been a good husband.
Melissa ran a sleepy Penny a bath, and I made her a bottle. She's going to put her to bed in a minute, and then go to (the) ASDA herself. I'm not confident Penny will sleep well, having been asleep in the car on the way home from Pizza Hut, so this should be a fun evening. It will certainly put a dampener on any XBOX I hope to play... But we shall see.
Thursday tomorrow. This week has flown by...
