Day 461

Sunday, the day of rest, so, naturally, Penny woke at about 2:55am. She's taken to sleeping with her legs sticking through the slats on the crib. Usually she's fine. But at 2:55am, when her chubby thigh is stuck and she's screaming her little head off... Horrible. I rescued her and Melissa snuggled her back to sleep, and it was nearly 7am until we heard from her again. Thankfully.

For the record, Melissa and I enjoyed our romantic meal enough to watch a film together. We even held hands at one point. Oh yes.

Anyway, once Penny was awake I made coffee, a bottle and tea for Melissa, Penny and me. Then Melissa got herself ready and me and Penny had a wrestle. Once that was out the way and I'd had a shower we headed to church. Penny was tired and a little mischievous but she was forgiven by all whenever she smiled.

We went to see our visitors from Devon at Melissa's mum and dads, but as we arrived they went rollerskating leaving Melissa's mum on her own. We took pity on her and took her into Wigan for some shopping. I bought a tshirt, I have very few of them, then we had coffee and then headed to (the) ASDA for the stuff we didn't get from Wigan and then took her home where she set about cooking us tea.

Melissa's dad took me to the pub with Davy and Andrea, where we met Ron and Cath. I had a few pints, which kept me out the way of the cooking, then Melissa picked me up.

Tea took longer to cook than expected and Melissa had to bath Penny at her mum and dads. We brought her home, fed her and chucked her in bed.

Once meals on wheels has been delivered and devoured I will hopefully play XBOX for a bit and have an earlyish night. It's been a long day.
