Thursday. It couldn't come sooner.
We all slept well, Penny has, fingers crossed, stopped waking up at 11pm just to piss us off. The downside of that is she wakes up before 7am most mornings. It's not that bad though, I get to spend time with her before I go to work.
And so it was this morning. I left for work in my new jacket; the lovely weather having passed, and set about my day. The highlight of which was finding Signal toothpaste in Superdrug. It smells like my childhood. It's truly incredible.
I met Melissa at (the) ASDA (again) and she brought my home. We both cooked chicken spag bol like a modern day Morecombe and Wise. I'm not sure which of us was which, but it was good. Penny watched and laughed when appropriate. She even applauded at one point. Once that was done, and Penny was fed, I set about my cheesecake with gusto. So far so good. It's cooking away. I will post pictures of the finished article tomorrow, along with my inevitable second place certificate.
Melissa's putting Penny to bed, then we'll have tea, and I'll tidy the bomb site that was once referred to as 'The Kitchen'.
