Day 433 and 434

Sunday means church. They're starting to recognise us now (both as people and members of the Catholic church) and have gotten over the fact we might be interlopers, or spies from other religious denominations. Although, our priest did call me "Tarzan" as we were leaving. I took it as a compliment, my hair looked magnificent.

We popped in on Melissa's mum and dad on the way home. They currently have charge of 6 dogs. 2 older ones and 4 puppies. We didn't stay long.

Afterwards, we headed home. I made cheese on toast and amused Penny while Melissa did some packing, then she ate her lunch and set out.

We stayed at my mum and dads last night with Penny. When we arrived (great) aunty Anne and (great) uncle Dennis were they. Penny put on a show for them, rolling on the floor, talking shit, almost crawling, juggling chainsaws (one of those is a lie).

She was as good as gold, and we all had a lovely nice time. Cracking Sunday dinner, as per usual, and Britain's Got Talent. I hope the dog wins. We put Penny to bed, and she went straight off, but woke up screaming after about 30 minutes. We think she was scared by the change in surroundings. She's never slept at my parents before, so it must have been a bit of a shock for her. Once Melissa and I went to bed though, and she could see us, she drifted off and slept almost all the way through until about 8am. Lie in. Bosch.

God bless bank holidays. I had a sausage butty for breakfast. A rare luxury. Then my dad fed Penny some of his mushed up banana which she loved. She had some toast, but not much. I expect she was full of banana mush. We Skyped New Zealand and then headed out for the day.

We drove home via Pets at Home as we needed cat litter, and McDonald's because I needed coffee, then (the) ASDA, because we haven't given them any money in the past 24 hours, then up Melissa's mum and dads for a couple of hours.

Then, I came home, cleaned the house a bit, then cleaned the house a bit on Modern Warfare 3. That's a term that means I won loads. Well, twice. More than usual.

Melissa made a mean chicken fried rice for tea, and we've just chucked Penny in the bath.

The big news from this weekend is that we've put Penny in her front facing car seat. She's a little small/young going by the guidelines on the box, but she loves it. She was too big for her old seat, so we sort of had to make the transition. Like I said, she loves it. Her bum has cleared up quite a bit, and she's not shitting through the eye of a needle every 20 minutes either, but she's still feeling a bit shitty, coughing, wheezing and such. She's soldiering on though. She's ace.

Melissa's contacted the virus now. Finger's crossed she's a trooper, too.

Tuesday tomorrow. See you then.
