I awoke to the new Batman trailer. There are worse ways to wake up.
I diligently tended to Penny's needs and then sat her on my knee to watch it with me. She shouted excitedly throughout, but when I finished and looked at her she was actually shouting at the Barack Obama bobblehead surfer model my mum and dad brought back from Hawaii. So I gave her to Melissa and watched it on my own. It looks good.
I was late for work because of this, of course, but not very late. I spent the day analysing the new trailer for Batman, in between doing odds and sods of work, and soon it was home time.
Melissa picked me up, which was nice of her, and then we went home and ate (drank?) delicious chicken noodle soup that she'd concocted. Penny had waffles and macaroni cheese. Loved it. No, no teeth yet.
Aferwards I cooked us our proper tea while Melissa put her in the bath, and then into bed. Then we ate tea and I phoned my mum and dad while Melissa had a shower.
XBOX for me while Melissa caught up on her soaps. I don't mean Cusson's Imperial Leather.
Just as an aside, it's my mums birthday today. I had every intention of putting a photo of her in here, but she's notoriously hard to photograph. Cameras just don't work on her. I won't tell you how old she is. I don't know. No one does. Not for certain, anyway. But she's probably almost old enough to be a grandma. I don't mean she looks old, I just mean on paper. Anyway, before I dig myself a deep hole, she said she had a lovely day and was spoiled, as is usually the case. She's a very selfless person, is my mum, and deserves all the spoiling and treats she gets. It's just a shame she's so hard to buy for. I could go on for absolutely ages about my mum, about how ace she is, and all that entails, but I doubt you all want to read that, so I'll just sign off with "Happy 19th birthday, mum. I love you xx"
