Day 425 and 426

So yesterday we were up early. I made us breakfast and then Melissa dropped me at Ormskirk station so I could catch the train into Liverpool.

We were an hour ahead of schedule due to a misunderstanding on Melissa's behalf, but I wasn't going to do anything about it; we're rarely early for anything. Anyway, I got a Coffee from Costa to drink on the train, and soon I was in Liverpool. At, like, 12:45.

I walked to Stew's flat and mooched about waiting for him and Mike to get ready, and then we were off.

We went to see John at Café Nero, drank more coffee and then headed on to Rigby's for pint number one.

We left through the back door to go to the Lady of Mann. I tripped coming out the door, which could well have been a warning sign of the night to come, but I chose to ignore it. We had another pint in there, then headed down to The Ship and Mitre.

Me, Mike and Stew were joined by Dave, and then later Colin and Ken turned up. We drank more in there and then it starts to get hazy.

I know we went to Doctor Duncans, but I have no memory of leaving there (about 7pm, maybe?). At some point after that we went to The Dispensary, which I remember very little of, and then after that we went to the Blackburne Arms, which is up by the Metropolitan Cathedral. I don't remember it in there at all, but I'm informed other people turned up.

I left, then, and, somehow, navigated my way to Moorfields, via a chippy, and then arrived home. It may have taken hours, but I remember none of it.

Melissa had a lovely night out celebrating Nic's birthday, also in Liverrpool, though our paths never crossed. She got home at 1:30am, ish. She remembers her night in detail.

Anyway, we were up and ready for church, which was arduous to say the least. Then we we headed home, Melissa got ready while I fed Penny, and then I took the two of them to a Christening and went to (the) ASDA for some meat to make a lovely hearty chilli for tea.

Melissa and Penny are currently watching Britain's Got Talent, then it'll be bath time, and we can have tea.

Then bed.

The weather has been absolutely foul today, by the way. Foul.

Work tomorrow. Hope the subways aren't flooded, else I'm swimming to work.

See ya!
