Day 402 and 403

So, Thursday. Felt like a Friday. I don't know what's going on.

Work... I don't know. My short term memory is battered. It was probably fine. I honestly don't remember. I do remember walking home, and getting a phone call from Melissa (who'd been out with Penny, and Emma and Harry in Wigan). In the background I could hear a screaming noise. It was Penny. She was going ballistic. She was overdue on a bottle. Like clockwork, that child. I made up a bottle for her, and when Melissa got home I got Penny out of her car seat and gave her snuggles. She calmed down briefly but when her bottle, which was still too warm, wasn't forthcoming, she kicked off again. Melissa changed her, while she bawled her little face off, and then we gave her her bottle and she calmed down. She calmed down further when her jar food arrived, and then her fruit sludge arrived and everything was right with the world.

I made myself a hasty tea and then at 6pm Howard picked me up, then we collected Dave, and went to Manchester to see Orbital.

It was spectacular gig and me and Dave manged to put away, I think, 6 pints of standard lager. Howard dropped me home at about midnight, and Melissa informed me I was drunk. Penny was wide awake too, and cast a judgemental gaze in my direction. Shortly after that I passed out.

Revenge arrived at about 8am, when Melissa woke me up with a Penny attack. She left her sitting with me, pulling my hair and shouting at me while she pottered and tinkered about. It's not a horrible way to wake up, really, even with a stinking hangover. I mean, at least she doesn't scream. She does, however, spew a bit, usually when she's sat on my chest, and my eyes are open.

When Penny had finished throwing up in my face, Melissa took her off me, changed her and I had a shower. It's Friday, now, by the way.

We went up to Melissa's mum and dads for a Good Friday breakfast of hot cross buns and tea. No meat, today, apparently, and then, after we'd said our goodbyes, we left Penny there and headed home.

I dropped Melissa off, spoke to my parents, and went to (the) ASDA to get some supplies, then, when I got home, a freshly clean Melissa and I went to Liverpool for a romantic afternoon together.

We went for coffee and biscotti at Café Nero then to the cinema to book some tickets for some stuff. I booked two tickets for me and Lea to see The Avengers in 3D IMAX in a few weeks, and some tickets for Titanic 3D IMAX next week. I spent a lot of money at the cinema today. Enough money to wish I had a loyalty card. I don't, though.

After that, Melissa spent money in Zara on a party frock for Penny, and then we went to Pizza Express for dinner. No meat, again. I could have done with some chicken on my pizza, I'll  be honest. The goats cheese was good though. Not as good as dessert, mind you.

Slimming World Sue need never hear about this...

After dinner we mooched down to The Lantern Theatre to see the directorial debut of my close personal acquaintance Stewart. He's put together a cracking cast and cobbled together a really good production of David Mamet's 1984 work Glengarry Glen Ross. Great venue, great play, great production, great cast. Well done.

Afterwards we headed home for a Penny-free evening. Annoyingly I've probably had too much coffee to have a good nights sleep, but there we go.

Tomorrow is Holy Saturday. I don't really know what that means, but my mum and dad are coming round for dinner, so that's nice. I also know Sunday is Easter Sunday, and we're going to go to church, so that's reason enough to tune in on Sunday evening.

Have a great Easter weekend everyone!
