It was Tuesday today. I walked to work on what felt like an autumnal morning, but it's still April. I've checked. There's a chance of snow tonight, a slim chance, but a chance nonetheless. It's cold. Whereas a few days ago, it was really warm. Mental.
Anyway, it was a generally busy day, and I was stuck in work until after 5pm, but the general monotony was broken up when it was noticed by someone had defaced a sponsorship form that was stuck on the drinks machine. A handsome young man called Jon is doing a sponsored swim in a couple of weeks, and has put up a sponsor form on the drinks machine. Now, it has been said by some that Jon bares a more than passing resemblance to a Neanderthal man, and someone, let's call him Jeff D, has taken it upon himself to bring this to peoples attention by way of a visual aid. But as if that wasn't enough, someone else, lets call her Andrea M, attached an awkward photograph of a gentleman in his Speedo trunks to the sponsorship form. Much merriment was derived from this, especially by the aforementioned female culprit, who pissed herself all the way back to her desk where she printed out another photo to attach. Some people... I don't know.
And in many ways, that was the highlight of the day, except for a phone call from Melissa and Penny, who was shouting "hiya" down the phone, or noises similar to that. Penny, that is, not Melissa.
I walked home just after 5pm. It's now 8pm and the weather has really taken a turn for the worse. It's blowing a gale and it's threatening to precipitate at any moment.
I'm catching up on the Marvel films in anticipation of The Avengers later this month, so in the past few days I've done Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and Iron Man 2. Tonight I'll watch either Captain America or Thor. I'm not sure yet. I might just read. Or... Oh I don't know. Melissa's ironing; Who am I to stand in the way of that?
