Day 398

We all slept well, despite some initial teething problems with Penny (almost certainly literally), and scary dream. Then at 6:15am Melissa dived out of bed, put Penny's dummy back in and it was soon 8am. Lovely.

We got up and had breakfast then got ready and went for a leisurely stroll along Burscough canal after a not bad coffee at an ice cream parlour. The weather wasn't quite nice enough for ice cream, but boy it looked good. There was a pie shop bakery there. I bought a pie. And ate it. It was nice. Melissa was allowed a bit. One bite.

After our walk we headed home, briefly, so Melissa could have a wee, then up to the in laws for Sunday dinner. I tried to set up Sky Anytime+ for my father in law, but I failed, the phone cable extension I was hoping to use was knackered.

My valiant efforts were rewarded with roast dinner and apple pie and custard. Not as good as yours, mum. Sorry Judy.

Penny's been as good as gold today, as per usual. Chatting away to her cousin, and just generally being pleasant. We home just after 4pm, Penny was fast asleep so Melissa and I pottered about, I swept the conservatory, and we both dismantled some of Penny's early toys, her swing and her bouncer, and I put them in loft. They served us well, but she just doesn't fit them any more.

This evening, no idea. I kinda want to watch a film, I'll see if I can get Melissa involved as Dancing on Ice has finished, but I'm not holding out much hope, she's sure to find some other reality drivel to watch.

Monday tomorrow. Yay.
