Ellen came round last night, and she'll deny it, as will Melissa, but they both woke Penny up. I got her out of her cot and she said hello, then Melissa had a bit of trouble getting her back to sleep, but she went off eventually.
This morning I was awoken at about 6:45am by a singing baby. I let her sing for a bit, then got her up, fed her and put her back to bed. I then sat at my computer for a while waiting for her to go back to sleep, then I went to bed myself, and before I knew it, it was 9:45am. Luxury.
Up, then, tea and toast for me and Melissa, banana porridge for Penny, then Melissa and Penny went out with Emma and Harry and I went into the garden to get to work on my "tidying". I swept the leaves and put them in the green bin, then moved all the rubbish for the tip to the back gate.
2pm arrived and so did my parents. My dad helped me carry the rubbish to the car, and then unloaded it with me at the tip then we all drank tea and watched Penny playing in her ball pool. My mum and dad left at about 5pm and we bathed Penny and and the I had a shower. We kept her amused until about half 6 but it became apparent she wasn't keen on staying awake so we gave her a bottle and put her to bed.
I cooked tea for Melissa and me, and then came to write this. Melissa's evening will be consumed by reality TV, mine will be consumed by a film, and some beers.
It feels like we did more today, but that's honestly all we did. Weird. Tomorrow doesn't promise to be any less exciting though.
See you then.
