I made Penny's bottle and changed her, then dumped her with Melissa while I made breakfast. Once that was eaten Penny had her porridge, we all got ready and headed out for the day.
We popped in to see Melissa's mum and dad to show them Penny's summer outfit :
Then it was off to my mum and dads to show them, and to spend a lovely afternoon in the garden. Penny had a lovely time, and my mum cooked us a lovely roast, despite the fact she's been out of practice for four months. Apple struddle for pudding really finished it off. Aunty Anne and uncle Dennis came to visit after lunch. Visit Penny, not me and Melissa, but Penny was proper tired due to being up for half the night and not having her lunchtime nap. We gave her a bottle and that settled her for a bit and aunty Anne got to have a lovely cuddle.
We left just after 4pm, popped back into Mel's mum and dad's as news had reached me of an unsanctioned burning. (Un)fortunately it had nearly finished by the time we got there, so we made our excuses and headed home.
We're trying to keep Penny awake until about 7pm, so hopefully we'll get a better night out of her. However, the best laid plans of mice and men aft gan a glay. Apparently. Already we're out of sequence, Melissa's had to bath her early due to her shitting all up herself. Still, the kettle hasn't even been boiled for her bottle yet, so we shall see. She had a nice sleep in the car, so she shouldn't be too knackered.
Back to the grind tomorrow. I wonder what joys the new week will hold. Payday Thursday. That's one of the joys. I hope there's more.
