8am came and I made breakfast for me and Melissa and before long she and Penny were out the door and into Liverpool to see Disney Princesses on Ice at the Liverpool Echo Arena. Penny loved the first half, fell asleep through the second. Fortunatley, she's small and Melissa didn't have to pay for her.
Meanwhile, I spent 3 hours in work (instead of my planned 90 minutes) working on a project. Oh joy. The warmest, most glorious day of the year so far. Melissa spent it in an ice rink and I spent it in an office.
I walked home, then, having bought a Cornish pasty and a caramel donut from Gregg's and a 9 volt battery from Wilkinson's (for the smoke alarm) and then got cracking on the conservatory. I managed to move the rubbish around and create enough space for Melissa's clothes horse, so that's good enough for me.
Melissa and Penny came home then, and I went straight out. When Melissa had been down south she'd noticed (or more accurately it had been pointed out to her) that the front drivers side tyre was looking flat. She pumped it up and thought no more of it, but today, she noticed it herself and went to fill it with air at the petrol station. While she was doing so she spotted a nail dug into it. Fun. So, when she got home today, I went to National Tyres for a new tyre. I'd phoned Kwik Fit for a quote, but they were rather unhelpful and when I said I couldn't tell them the tyre size as I didn't have access to the car, the man hung up. Tosser.
Home, then, and Melissa bathing a shit covered Penny. We played in the living room, then put her to bed a little after 6pm. I cooked a delicious tea for us both and went to (the) ASDA for my lunch for the week. And some bleach.
Exhausted now. Beer is calling.
See you tomorrow.
